Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners & Tanourin Stable

Owner

Launched in October 2011 and with offices in Springboro, OH, and Del Mar, CA, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners forms racing partnerships with its’ primary focus on acquiring thoroughbreds that have already run on the racetrack and who Eclipse believes possess “blue sky” potential to make a serious mark at the highest level the sport has to offer. Since seeing its’ first runner hit the track just 18 months ago, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners has been represented by runners such as In Lingerie, winner of the 2012 Grade I, Spinster Stakes and 2012 Grade II, Black-Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico. Eclipse also campaigns the multiple Stakes winning filly, Byrama and Capo Bastone, the 3rd Place Finisher in the 2012, Grade I, Breeders' Cup Juvenile.  In its' 1st full season on the racetrack, Eclipse lead all public partnerships in number of North American Stakes wins.  This season, Eclipse has already been represented by Graded Stakes winners Amira's Prince and Silsita and again sits atop the public partnership standings for Stakes wins.

Pedigree

Silsita is by champion Macho Uno out of the multiple stakes-placed Wild Again mare Naturally Wild.

Macho Uno was never worse than fifth in his 14-race career, and along the way added wins in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, Grade 3 Penn Derby and Grade 2 Massachusetts Handicap to his resume while racking up fourths in the Breeders’ Cup Classic and Grade 1 Whitney Handicap.

Once in the breeding shed, Macho Uno would sire such top class runners as Grade 1 hero Macho Again, who placed in the 2008 Preakness Stakes, and multiple Grade 2 victor Mucho Macho Man, second in last year’s Breeders’ Cup Classic and third in the 2011 Kentucky Derby.

Naturally Wild never found that kind of success on track, but did place in four stakes contests, and is herself a daughter of stakes-winning L’Natural mare Nat’s Lea.

Silsita's fifth dam, Two Lea's Girl, is a half-sister to 1958 champion three-year-old Tim Tam, who captured that year's Kentucky Derby and Preakness while running second in the Belmont Stakes.
